What is Cloud 9 wish granting charity
Cloud 9 is a local based charity that works on a voluntary basis to provide holiday funding for children in Gloucestershire who suffer from acute and chronic illness.
Many of these children have spent long periods in hospital and have undergone painful treatments. Some have had to endure an extensive regime of medications and therapies on a daily basis that have denied them the freedom of a trouble free childhood, which we all take for granted.
The work of Cloud 9 proves that wishes can come true for "special children" in Gloucestershire.
An opportunity for the children to reach beyond the confines of their illness and escape for a short while and maybe to realise a long awaited dream.
Cloud 9 cannot make up for what these children have lost but it can help bring a smile back to their faces, leaving them with wonderful memories to treasure and revisit during the dark periods of their illness.
